ITINERARY

Day 1 Thursday March 16 DEPARTURE
Departure from JFK, around noon, with Korean Air to Seoul.

Day 2 Friday March 17, BANGKOK
After taking our connecting flight in Seoul we arrive at night in Bangkok.

Day 3 Saturday March 18 BANGKOK B, D
Morning sight-seeing of Bangkok including an inside visit to the Grand Palace complex. Afternoon at leisure. Special Thai dinner and dance at the renown Silom village.

Day 4 Sunday March 19, BANGKOK B, L
Morning excursion to the floating market of Damnoen Saduak. Return to Bangkok in the afternoon. Evening at leisure.

Day 5 Monday March 20, KWAI CRUISE B, L, D
Morning departure by coach to Kanchanaburi to begin your “safari” cruise adventure! Local attractions along the way will charm you. Embarkation at noon on the MV “River Kwai” is followed by lunch as you set sail. In the afternoon visit the Somdat Phra Sri Nakharin park and in the evening enjoy a welcome cocktail and a candlelight dinner on the sun deck.

Day 6 Tuesday March 21, KWAI CRUISE
See the Khmer architecture from 700 and 800 years ago in Prasat Muang Singh. Then enjoy a short train ride on the restored railway dating from WWII . Visit the Sai Yok Elephant village where you can pet, feed and watch these huge beasts or even take an optional ride before returning to the ship.

Day 7 Wednesday March 22 KWAI CRUISE
Walk up-hill to Kaeng Lava Cave, a good example of nature’s artwork. Continue to Hell Fire Pass & Museum where many WWII POWs lost their lives as they were building the railroad. Return to the ship for lunch. Pass the scenic Sai Yok Waterfalls.

Day 8 Thursday March 23 KWAI CRUISE
Scenic drive to the Vachiralongkorn Dam, an enormous hydroelectric dam set in a jungle, rolling hills and farmland. Visit an authentic local village market as well as a local school (if in session). Return to the ship for lunch and sail in the afternoon.

Day 9 Friday March 24 KWAI CRUISE
Excursion to the Hin Dad Hot springs and the fabulous Pha Dad Waterfalls. A swim in the waterfall and the hot Spring is a must. Return to the ship for lunch. Sail to the Jungle Raft Hotel where you can leave the ship for a raft to sail down stream. You could also experience a Thai massage or simply relax. After dinner on board optional folklore performance.

Day 10 Saturday March 25 KWAI CRUISE
Morning visit to the Ban Kao National Museum and afternoon shore excursion to the Indochina’s Tiger Conservation Project. Then, join for an evening cocktail before the Captain’s Farewell Dinner.

Day 11 Sunday March 26 KWAI CRUISE
Visit the world famous Bridge over the River Kwai and return to the ship for lunch before disembarking around 2:30pm and heading back to Bangkok. Day room available till you go to the airport for your Korean Air flight which leaves for Seoul at 2:00am

Day 12 Monday March 27 RETURN
Continuation from Seoul to Kennedy. Flight KE#81 leaves at 11:00am and arrives at 10:40am

Terms & Conditions

Deposit $495.00 is due immediately to secure reservations with airlines, cruise line, hotels and other suppliers.

Balance due before January 6, 2006.

Deposit is refundable until November 11, 2005 minus $150.00 processing fees. All cancellations must be processed in writing. Then, the following penalties will apply:

  • $ 495.00 for cancellation received between Nov., 12, 2005 and January 14, 2006 50% of the trip cost for cancellation received between January 15 and February 11, 2006
  • 100% of the trip cost for no-show and for cancellation received between February 12 and March 16

These policies must strictly apply and we strongly recommend that you avail yourself of a travel insurance program covering trip cancellation, medical expenses and baggage loss and / or damage. Please check with Celestial Voyagers for possible travel insurance. Premiums vary with age group. In order to cover pre-existing conditions you must buy insurance at the time you pay your deposit.
