ITINERARY

Day 1 Sunday, March 8     DEPARTURE
Depart from JFK or Newark for your flight to Madrid, Spain. Tickets will be issued by the end of November and are non refundable/non changeable.

Day 2 Monday, March 9     MADRID
Arrival at Barajas airport in Madrid. Take the bus to Plaza Colon in the center of Madrid, then a taxi to your hotel. Remainder of the day at leisure to explore Madrid’s old town, Plaza Mayor, Puerta del Sol, Gran Via, etc.

Day 3 Tuesday, March 10     MADRID
Visit the famous Prado Museum in the morning. Then in the afternoon walk to the Reina Sofia Museum. Do not miss Picasso’s famous painting 'Guernica'.

Day 4 Wednesday, March 11     MADRID
Public transportation to Toledo. Full day to explore the former capital of Spain.

Day 5 Thursday, March 12     MADRID
Morning visit to the Royal Palace, the official residence of the King of Spain.

Day 6 Friday, March 13     MADRID
Full day at leisure.

Day 7 Saturday, March 14     RETURN
Return to Barajas airport for your flight back to the US.

PRICE $1,250.00

This price includes:

  • Round trip flights from JFK to Madrid.
  • Airport, security taxes and “Q” tax for fuel surcharge at $430.00, subject to adjustment at time of ticketing.
  • Transfers, assistance, guide services and sightseeing as per itinerary.
  • 5 nights central hotel accommodation in double room.
  • Buffet breakfast daily.
  • Transfers from Barajas airport in Madrid to Plaza Colon by public transportation.
  • Assistance of Dr. Beatriz Rivera-Barnes.

This price does not include:

  • Single room supplement.
  • Transportation to and from JFK airport.
  • Entrance fees to museums, public transportation, tours.
  • Merchant fee of 3.5% on any payment made by Visa or Mastercard.
  • Cost of personal items such as phone, drinks, laundry, etc.
  • Meals other than specified.
  • Optional travel insurance.
  • Passport & visa fee.
    Everyone needs a passport valid until September14, 2009. If you are not an American citizen a visa may be required. A green card is compulsory.

One registration form per passenger is required. This form can be found inside each brochure. Fill out the form and mail it with your deposit, copy of your passport if available, and the optional travel insurance to:

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

1st payment of $800.00 will secure your airline ticket.
It is due no later than November 21, 2008.
Balance of $450.00 to be paid by January 15, 2009.
All payments by check to be made out to Celestial Voyagers escrow account
Your deposit will secure your reservation with the airline, the hotel and other suppliers. It must be sent with a copy of your passport, the registration form and the optional travel insurance premium if you choose to purchase it.

Late Fee of $100.00 or more will apply on all payments received after November 21, 2008. This late fee relates to increases in airfare.

Credit card payments
We accept Visa and Mastercard. Since Merchant fees are not included in the price, should you wish to pay by credit card, a 3.5% supplement applies to the amount paid.

Cancellation
All cancellations must be received in writing.
Payments are fully non refundable as suppliers have to be paid immediately after we receive your registration.
Airline tickets are non refundable and will be issued by November 21, 2008.
Name changes are subject to approval and a fee of $250.00 minimum.
Some airlines charge more or do not allow name changes.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that you avail yourself of travel insurance as protection against penalties as well as baggage damage and travel delays. Without insurance, if you cancel your trip within a few days of the departure date, the total value of the trip will not be refunded. Pre-existing medical conditions are covered only if the insurance registration has been submitted within 14 days of sending your deposit.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Travel documents will be sent to Penn State and delivered by your professor. If your documents have to be sent individually, you must submit your request with your address in writing.
A $20.00 mailing fee will apply.
