ITINERARY

Day 1 Wednesday, July 1      DEPARTURE
Evening departure from Kennedy airport for your overnight flight to Munich.

Day 2 Thursday, July 2      MUNICH
Arrive in Munich. Transfer to Hotel Ludwig, a 2-star hotel, magnificently located in the center of the city. Remainder of the day at leisure.

Day 3 Friday, July 3     MUNICH
Morning city tour which includes photo stops at the Nymphenburg Palace and Schleissheim Castle. Remainder of the day at leisure. Evening walk to the famous Hofbrau House for dinner.

Day 4 Saturday, July 4      MUNICH
Optional full day excursion to the Bavarian castles of Neuschwanstein and Linderhof.

Day 5 Sunday, July 5     PRAGUE
Morning drive to Prague. Afternoon at leisure after checking in at Hotel Majestic.

Day 6 Monday, July 6     PRAGUE
Full day sightseeing tour with guide to visit the Old Palace, Golden Lane and Daliborka, St. George’s Basilica and St. Vitus Cathedral.

Day 7 Tuesday, July 7     PRAGUE
Full day at leisure.

Day 8 Wednesday, July 8     BERLIN
Morning drive to Dresden. Guided city tour of Dresden. Visit the Hofkirche Cathedral and view the Semper Opera House. Continue to Berlin.

Day 9 Thursday, July 9     BERLIN
Morning guided tour. View the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag parliament building. Afternoon free at leisure.

Day 10 Friday, July 10     BERLIN
Full day at leisure.

Day 11 Saturday, July 11     BERLIN / MADRID
Transfer to airport for Iberia flight to Madrid. Transfer to hotel on arrival.

Day 12 Sunday, July 12     MADRID
Morning guided walking tour including a visit to the famous Prado Museum. Afternoon at leisure.

Day 13 Monday, July 13     RETURN
Transfer to Barajas airport for your flight back to to Kennedy.

This price includes:

  • Round trip flights from JFK to Munich returning from Madrid with Iberia Airlines.
  • Flight Berlin / Madrid with Iberia Airlines.
  • Airport, security taxes and “Q” tax for fuel surcharge at approximately $440.00, subject to adjustment at time of ticketing.

  • 11 nights accommodation in double room:

    Everyone needs a passport valid until Jan 14, 2010. If you are not an American citizen, a visa may be required. A green card is compulsory.

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

Deposit $1,000.00 by check only, to be received prior to January 31, 2009 and within 7 days of your registration online in order to receive the $175.00 value bonus. If deposit is paid after January 31, the discount no longer applies.

For reservations made after April 17, 2009, payment in full is necessary.

Balance due no later than April 17, 2009
All payments by check to be made out to Celestial Voyagers escrow account.
Your deposit will secure your reservation with the airline, the hotel and other suppliers. It must be sent with a copy of your passport, the registration form and the optional travel insurance premium if you choose to purchase it.

Credit card payments:
We accept Visa and Mastercard. Since Merchant fees are not included in the price, should you wish to pay by credit card, a 3.5% supplement applies to the amount paid.

Cancellation:
All cancellations must be received in writing. In case of cancellation the following penalties will apply:

  • $150.00 non refundable processing fee.
  • Penalty of 50% of the cost of the trip if written cancellation is received between April 15 and May 28, 2009.
  • Penalty of 100% of the cost of the trip if written cancellation is received after May 29, 2009 and in case of a no-show.

Travel Insurance

We strongly recommend that you avail yourself of travel insurance as protection against penalties as well as baggage damage and travel delays. Without insurance, if you cancel your trip within a few days of the departure date, the total value of the trip will not be refunded. Pre-existing medical conditions are covered only if the insurance registration has been submitted within 14 days of sending your deposit.

Travel documents will be sent to St. Joseph's College and delivered by your professor.If your documents have to be sent individually, you must submit your request with your address in writing. A $20.00 mailing fee will apply.

This tour is run in conjynction with ART 103 - second semester.

This tour is open to all students, faculty and friends of St. Joseph's College.

All participants are required to complete the St. Joseph's College application packet, which includes an application, Permission to use Photograph form and a behavior contract. The packet will be mailed to you after you have registered.

Everyone is required to have a valid pasport and provide proof of medical insurance.
