OVERVIEW

Visit four of the greatest cities in Europe: Munich, Prague, Berlin and Madrid. Fly from Kennedy with Iberia Airlines.

This tour is open to all students, faculty and friends of St. Joseph's College.

ITINERARY

DAY 1 WED JUL 1 DEPARTURE

Evening departure from Kennedy airport for your overnight flight to Munich.

DAY 2 THU JUL 2 MUNICH

Arrive in Munich. Transfer to Hotel Ludwig, a 2-star hotel, magnificently located in the center of the city. Remainder of the day at leisure.

DAY 3 FRI JUL 3 MUNICH

Morning city tour which includes photo stops at the Nymphenburg Palace and Schleissheim Castle. Remainder of the day at leisure. Evening walk to the famous Hofbrau House for dinner.

DAY 4 SAT JUL 4 MUNICH

Optional full day excursion to the Bavarian castles of Neuschwanstein and Linderhof.

DAY 5 SUN JUL 5 PRAGUE

Morning drive to Prague. Afternoon at leisure after checking in at Hotel Majestic.

DAY 6 MON JUL 6 PRAGUE

Full day sightseeing tour with guide to visit the Old Palace, Golden Lane and Daliborka, St. George's Basilica and St. Vitus Cathedral.

DAY 7 TUE JUL 7 PRAGUE

Full day at leisure.

DAY 8 WED JUL 8 BERLIN

Morning drive to Dresden. Guided city tour of Dresden. Visit the Hofkirche Cathedral and view the Semper Opera House. Continue to Berlin.

DAY 9 THU JUL 9 BERLIN

Morning guided tour. View the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag parliament building. Afternoon free at leisure.

DAY 10 FRI JUL 10 BERLIN

Full day at leisure.

DAY 11 SAT JUL 11 BERLIN / MADRID

Transfer to airport for Iberia flight to Madrid. Transfer to hotel on arrival.

DAY 12 SAT JUL 11 MADRID

Morning guided walking tour including a visit to the famous Prado Museum. Afternoon at leisure.

DAY 13 SAT JUL 11 RETURN

Transfer to Barajas airport for your flight back to to Kennedy.

This price includes:

  • Round trip flights from JFK to Munich returning from Madrid with Iberia Airlines.
  • Flight Berlin / Madrid with Iberia Airlines.
  • Airport, security taxes and "Q" tax for fuel surcharge included.
  • Breakfast daily.
  • 11 nights accommodation in double rooms the hotels listed above
  • Dinner at the Hofbrau House in Munich.
  • Deluxe motor-coach for tours and transfers.
  • Entrance fees to monuments with sightseeing tours as per itinerary.
  • English speaking local guides.

This price does not include:

  • Single room supplement + $775.00.
  • Full day excursion to Neuschwanstein and Linderhof castles + $125.00.
  • Increases in fuel surcharges and airport taxes.
  • Cost of personal items such as phone, drinks, laundry, etc.
  • Meals other than specified.

If you are a U.S. passport holder, make sure you passport is valid until January 13, 2010. If you are not an American citizen, a visa may be required. Please check and arrange this well ahead of the tour departure date.

A green card is compulsory for returning to the US.

COURSE REGISTRATION

This tour is run in conjunction with ART 103 - second semester.

All participants are required to complete the St. Joseph's College application packet, which includes an application, Permission to use Photograph form and a behavior contract. The packet will be mailed to you after you have registered.

PAYMENTS (TERMS & CONDITIONS)

Deposit $1,000.00, to be received by March 13.
($150.00 of which is non refundable)


For registrations made after April 17, 2009, payment in full is necessary.


Balance due no later than April 17, 2009


All check payments to be made out to Celestial Voyagers escrow account. Your deposit secures your reservation with the airline, the hotel and other suppliers.


Credit card payments:
We accept Visa and Master Card. Since Merchant fees are not included in the package price, a 3.5% supplement applies if you wish to pay by credit card.


Cancellation:
All cancellations must be received in writing.
The following penalties will apply:

  • $150.00 processing fee will apply upon receipt of the written cancellation notice.
  • Penalty of 50% of the cost of the trip if written cancellation is received between April 15 and May 28, 2009.
  • Penalty of 100% of the cost of the trip if written cancellation is received after May 28, 2009 or in case of no show.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

We strongly recommend that you avail yourself of travel insurance as protection against penalties as well as baggage damage and travel delays. Without insurance, if you cancel your trip within a few days of the departure date, the total value of the trip will not be refunded. Pre-existing medical conditions are covered only if the insurance registration has been submitted within 14 days of sending your deposit.
