ITINERARY

Depart from Newark airport to London with Virgin Atlantic. Check-in at the airport should be 3 hours prior to departure.

Assistance on arrival and transfer to Royal National Hotel, conveniently located on Russell Square, close to the British Museum. Remainder of the day to explore the neighborhood, only 15 minutes walk from Covent Garden.

Visit London on your own in relation to the course work required by your professor. Academic assistance available daily.

DAY 4MONDAY, NOV 23LONDON

Optional 3 hour guided walking tour including the Tower of London, the City and St. Paul's Cathedral. Reserved in advance to avoid long lines.

DAY 5TUESDAY, NOV 24LONDON

COURSE REGISTRATION

Credit Courses:
A number of Penn State 3-credit courses, not requiring regular attendance at Brandywine campus, are offered in combination with all Brandywine International Studies trips. Approved full time students at all Penn State Campuses are eligible to take two courses (6 credits) at no additional cost. To establish eligibility at any Penn State campus, the student should obtain his/her adviser's permission to register then receive the confirmation of approval from the Brandywine DAA and from the teacher of the course. The courses may also be taken by non-Penn State students for transfer-credit, but in those cases the applicable tuition fee will apply.

Trip Registration versus Course Registration:
All travel arrangements are made through Celestial Voyagers, a fully insured tour operator. Do not contact Penn State professors or employees regarding flights, hotels or travel information. They may not have the very latest information.

PAYMENT (TERMS & CONDITIONS)

Deposit: $300.00 by check only due before September 18, 2009.


Balance due no later than October 9, 2009


After October 9, 2009 full payment is due with registration.


Airline seats may be available until October 21st. However, after October 9, airfare may increase and an additional $100.00 late fee will apply.

All check payments to be made out to Celestial Voyagers escrow account. Your deposit secures your reservation with the airline, the hotel and other suppliers. It must be sent with a copy of your passport and the registration form.


Credit card payments:
We accept Visa and MasterCard. Since Merchant fees are not included in the package price, a 3.5% supplement applies if you wish to pay by credit card.

Cancellation:
All cancellations must be received in writing. The following penalties will apply:

  • $150.00 processing fee upon receipt of a written cancellation.
  • Penalty of 50% of the cost of the trip if written cancellation is received between Sept 21 and October 20, 2009.
  • Penalty of 100% of the cost of the trip if written cancellation is received or after after October 21, 2009 and in case of a no-show.

These policies will be strictly applied.
We strongly recommend that you avail yourself of travel insurance as protection against these penalties. Please check with HTH Travel Insurance for plans and premiums.

TRAVEL INSURANCE

All travelers on Penn State programs are required to purchase travel insurance through HTH Worldwide. Students will be sent enrollment information 2 weeks prior to departure. Non-students must purchase TravelGap or TripProtector from http://www.hthtravelinsurance.com.

TRAVEL DOCUMENTS

Travel documents will be delivered at Penn State, Brandywine Campus, on Nov. 6, 2009 at 12:00 PM. It is most important to attend this meeting or send a substitute. If this is not possible, your professor(s) and Celestial Voyagers MUST be notified.

If your documents have to be sent individually, you must submit your request for this service in writing and supply your address. Somebody will need to be home to sign to receive the package and a $20.00 administration, handling and mailing fee applies.
