OVERVIEW

The Swiss Alps and Lakes, the French Alps and Provence will appeal more than ever when you take this special interest tour, showcasing some of the most interesting bridges of Europe. Christian Menn designed the Sunniberg Bridge in Klosters and Felsenau Viaduct in Bern. The elegant arch of the Salginatobel Bridge near Schiers was designed by Robert Maillart. The Tri-Countries Bridge at Weil-am-Rhein near Basel links France, Switzerland and Germany. French structural engineer Michel Virlogeux and British architect Norman Foster combined their talents to create the Millau Viaduct. The innovative design and aesthetic appearance of these civil engineering masterpieces render this a unique experience.
