In the morning, we visit one more of Meteora’s incredible monasteries , perched high atop dramatic rock pillars. These centuries-old monasteries are a testament to the spiritual and architectural heritage of the region, offering breathtaking views and insight into the lives of the monks who once lived here.
Next, immerse yourself in a truly unique experience — a truffle hunting adventure in the nearby forests around Kalambaka. Accompanied by an expert and an award-winning trained dog, you will walk through beautiful, lesser-known woods in search of the region’s prized truffles. 11:00 AM – Upon arrival in Aegina, transfer by private vehicle to the island’s most famous ancient monument. Visit the Temple of Aphaia , a stunning Doric sanctuary perched on a pine-covered hill with panoramic views over the Saronic Gulf. Dating back to the 5th century BC, it forms part of the famed “Sacred Triangle” along with the Parthenon and the Temple of Poseidon at Cape Sounion.
Continue to a local pistachio factory for a guided visit and tasting.
