After breakfast, start your sightseeing tour around Jakarta in mid-day. We will visit Surabaya Street, the National Monument, Istiqlal Mosque – Jakarta Cathedral, Jakarta Old Town, and end the tour at Little India.
In the evening, we will have dinner at Padang Restaurant. After dinner, we will drive to the train station and board an overnight train to Yogyakarta, which will take approximately 12 hours.
Note: The train departs Jakarta at 22:50 and should arrive in Yogyakarta around 06:00 in the morning.
It is possible to spend a second night in Jakarta and take a morning flight to Yogyakarta. (supplement for flight, hotel, and transfers + $215 – subject to airfare increase)

You will be picked up at the train station and driven to the hotel via Malioboro Street. There, you will drop off your luggage, have breakfast, and check in early for rest.
Afternoon excursion to the village of Tembi where you will experience batik making, traditional Jamu (herbal) drink and visit some Art studios

We start our tour visiting Keraton Yogyakarta, Taman Sari; at lunch, we’ll taste Gudeg, a local delicacy made from raw young jackfruit and cooked with palm sugar, coconut milk, garlic, onion, hazelnut, coriander seeds, galangal, bay leaves, and teak leaves.
Afternoon excursion to Borobudur. After we visit Borobudur temple, we’ll return to the hotel and enjoy dinner and New Year’s celebration.

Today’s morning tour includes a visit to Prambanan Temple, a 9th-century Hindu temple dedicated to the Trimūrti, the expression of God as the Creator, the Preserver, and the Destroyer; just a couple of miles away, we will also visit Ratu Boko Palace, le Palais du Roi Boko, an archaeological site nicely standing on a plateau.

Pick up and transfer to Yogyakarta International Airport.
Upon arrival at Denpasar, the coach takes us to central Ubud; we start our visit with Ubud Royal Palace, Saraswati Temple, Ubud Art Market, and Blanco Renaissance Museum.
We will have a blessed dinner with a dance performance at a priest’s compound in the evening.

Our morning activity will be a cooking class. First, we will go to a traditional Bali market and buy our supplies to prepare lunch.
In the afternoon, we will visit the sacred monkey forest in Ubud and continue trekking at Campuhan Ridgewalk.

We will have a full-day tour in Ubud to visit three different temples.
Gunung Kawi Temple: shrine reliefs are carved directly into the face of a rock cliff; this is definitely one of the most stunningly unique archeological sites besides being an important sacred place for the Balinese.
Kehen Temple: This Hindu temple is set on the foot of a wooded hill. Established in the 13th century, Pura Kehen was the royal temple of the Bangli Kingdom.
Tirta Empul Temple: Its origins date back to the 10th century, during the Warmadewa dynasty. The temple is believed to have been founded by the legendary Balinese ruler Indrajaya, who sought to cleanse his ailing soldiers with the pure spring water that gushed forth on this sacred ground.

Early breakfast, pack your luggage, and prepare to depart for Sanur Harbor. Board the fast boat; it is a 2-3-hour trip to Lombok. Arrive at Lombok harbor and meet with the guide to do a city tour. The tour highlights are Mayura Water Palace, Mataram Traditional Market, Narmada Garden, and Lingsar Temple. In the afternoon, we’ll return to the hotel for the night.
Note: The boat departs from Sanur at 09:30 and should arrive at Lombok at around 12:00.
Optional: One-day Rinjani Trekking at USD 160 per person (minimum 2 pax): One-day Rinjani trekking is quite an extreme trekking program for those who would like to experience a night trek on Mount Rinjani without camping or overnight stay. This trek starts from the Senaru entrance gate and treks up to the crater rim 2641 m above sea level in one night and one day journey. You will see a spectacular view of the sun rising on the top of Mt. Rinjani and beautiful views of Segara Anak Lake when you reach Senaru Crater Rim at 06.00 am. This excursion applies to experienced trekkers or those who are fit and in excellent physical condition.

This tour takes you first to the Pottery Village of Banyumulek. Then, visit Sukarara village, renowned for its traditional hand weaving of brightly patterned “songket ”, “ikat ” and “sarong ” cloths. Next the tour continues to Ende village, featuring the unique traditional houses with its buffalo dung floors. Lunch is served at one of the local restaurants in the New Kuta Mandalika area. Then, we visit the beautiful beach of Tanjung A’an, one of the most scenic and unspoiled beaches in this part of Lombok. We may have a chance to trek Merese Hills to enjoy the magnificent panorama of the Indian Ocean.

Transfer to the harbor for your trip back to Bali. Upon arrival at Bali, you will be welcomed by our team then start today’s program visiting Serangan island’s Turtle Conservation Center, Uluwatu Temple, and a Kecak Dance performance. On our way to the hotel, we will have a seafood dinner in Jimbaran!

– Your passport should be valid for a minimum of 6 months (July 9, 2025) upon entering Indonesia and have at least 1 blank visa page.
– Upon arrival, you can purchase a visa for approximately €30 (depending on the exchange rate), payable in Indonesian Rupiah (IDR 500,000) or US Dollars. This visa is valid for up to 30 days.
– If you arrive at Soekarno-Hatta airport in Jakarta or Ngurah Rai airport in Bali, you have the option to purchase an e-VOA (Electronic Visa On Arrival) before departure through the Indonesian government website (https://molina.imigrasi.go.id/). The cost is also IDR 500,000 and can be paid using credit cards (Mastercard, Visa, or JCB).
Remember, it is mandatory to register online for the digital customs form at least two days before arriving in Indonesia. You can complete this process on the Indonesian Immigration website (https://ecd.beacukai.go.id/) to receive a QR code for customs clearance upon arrival. Failure to register in advance may lead to delays at the Indonesian airport of arrival. When visiting Bali during your trip, starting from February 14, 2024, you will need to pay a tourist tax of 150,000 Indonesian Rupiah (around €9) regardless of whether you are coming from another country or another province in Indonesia. You can settle this tax on the spot at the airport or port, but it’s highly recommended to pay digitally in advance through the Bali province website (https://lovebali.baliprov.go.id/) to avoid any inconvenience.
If you are not a U.S. citizen please check with the consulate of Indonesia or a visa agency for the latest requirements. You will also need a re-entry permit to return to the USA.
