DAY 1 - USA Departure

Please arrive at JFK by 6:30 PM to check in for your Qatar Airways flight to Tokyo via Doha.

Flight QR 702 is scheduled to depart JFK at 9:40 PM and will land in Doha at 4:50 PM the following morning.

Overnight and dinner will be provided on your flight.

DAY 2 - Connecting flight Doha to Tokyo

Wednesday March 24th, 2027

Your flight is scheduled to land in Doha at 4:50 PM, where you will have a 3-hour layover. This provides ample time to stretch your legs and connect to your next flight after the long journey!

Board your connecting flight, QR 808, which departs Doha at 8:15 PM bound for Tokyo’s Narita Airport.

Arrival is set for the following morning, and complimentary meals will be served during the flight.

Overnight and dinner will be provided on your flight.

DAY 3 - Tokyo

Thursday March 25th, 2027 | D

Welcome to Tokyo!

Your flight is scheduled to land at Narita Airport around 11:55 AM. Once you collect your baggage and pass through customs, an English-speaking guide will be waiting to welcome you.

You will then take a private transfer to your hotel in Tokyo. Complimentary bottled water and an Onigiri rice ball snack will be provided for the journey.

Standard hotel check-in begins at 3:00 PM, so some rooms might not be ready upon arrival. After check-in, please take this time to get settled into your accommodations.

Later, the group will gather for a welcome dinner at a restaurant situated just a short walk away.

Following dinner, return to the hotel on foot for a restful evening!

DAY 4 - Tokyo

Friday March 26th, 2027 | B | L

Start your day with breakfast at the hotel before embarking on a full-day guided tour across Tokyo.

Schedule of Activities:
● 08:30 AM – Departure from the hotel.
● 09:00 AM – Partake in a traditional Asakusa Kimono dressing session (60-minute experience).
● 10:00 AM – Stroll through the historic streets of the Asakusa neighborhood and tour the iconic Sensoji Temple.
● 11:30 AM – Conclude the experience and hand back the Kimono.

A scheduled group lunch is included in today’s itinerary.

Following lunch, travel west out of the city center to visit the animation museum, located roughly a 30- to 45-minute drive from the hotel. Afterward, take a leisurely break at Inokashira Park. On the route back to your accommodations, stop in Shinjuku. Renowned for its massive transit station, towering skyscrapers, and brilliant neon-lit nightlife, Shinjuku is one of Tokyo’s most energetic districts.

Spend the evening and dinner at your own leisure.

DAY 5 - Tokyo

Saturday March 27th, 2027 | B | L

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel.

Begin the day by exploring the majestic grounds of the Tokyo Imperial Palace, taking in its historic scenery and beautiful landscapes. Afterward, visit the Tsukiji Outer Market to discover its vibrant culinary offerings, fresh seafood, and unique local delicacies.

For lunch, enjoy a hands-on, interactive DIY Sushi-Making session where you can learn traditional culinary techniques. Next, visit the serene and peaceful Meiji Shrine to experience its tranquil atmosphere. Conclude the afternoon with dedicated leisure time in the trendy Harajuku district.

DAY 6 - Fuji

Sunday March 28th, 2027 | B | D

Enjoy breakfast at your hotel to prepare for the exciting journey ahead. Please make sure to complete your check-out process from the hotel before your morning departure.

The group will then board private coach buses, transfer to Tokyo Station, and take the bullet train to Odawara Station. Once arrived, the private coach will take the group to the Mt. Fuji area to start your tour.

You will take part in a scenic Lake Ashi Cruise, discover the informative displays at the Hakone Visitor Center, and enjoy the stunning natural beauty surrounding Lake Kawaguchiko.

Visit the Ichiku Kubota Art Museum. The Ichiku Kubota Art Museum is an exquisite gallery dedicated to the legendary textile artist, featuring a serene garden, a traditional tea room, and breathtaking panoramas of Mt. Fuji.

As the late afternoon winds down, the group will go to their hotel to check in.

Group dinner at your hotel is included in the evening.

Conclude your day by settling in for a relaxing overnight stay at the Fuji Kawaguchiko Resort Hotel.

 

DAY 7 - Kyoto

Monday March 29th, 2027 | B | D

Enjoy breakfast in the morning, followed by checking out of the hotel.

Board a coach transfer to Mishima Station to ride the bullet train, taking in the scenic views on the way to Kyoto.

Upon arrival at Kyoto Station, you will have leisure time to enjoy lunch inside the Kyoto Underground.

Afterward, visit and explore the magnificent and historic Kinkakuji Temple, famously referred to as the Golden Pavilion.

Head to the hotel to complete your check-in. A group dinner is provided for you in the evening.

DAY 8 - Kyoto

Terms and Conditions

Celestial Voyagers Terms and Conditions relate to specific contracts with various suppliers. The policies and regulations below must be strictly enforced.

The deposit is due upon registration. The deposit of $500 is refundable until September 25, 2026.   When registration is made within 60 days prior to departure, the full amount of the trip is due.

The MCMS School of the Arts Annual International Program is open to any East Brunswick Campus student, faculty member, faculty affiliate chaperones, administrators, office staff or current student family members may all participate in the international program however, due to any destination with flight times over 10 hours, connections, and extreme daily physical and mental requirements necessary for Japan 2027, NO CHILDREN 10 YEARS OF AGE OR UNDER SHALL BE PERMITTED TO TRAVEL TO JAPAN 2027. Please keep in mind that there are a limited amount of spaces and MCMS East Brunswick administration must approve any student who signs up and/or places a deposit. If a student is unable to go due to MCMS East Brunswick administrative denial or lack of space any monies paid (deposit) will be refunded by Celestial Voyagers Inc.

Passport

Most countries require that a passport be valid for six months beyond the completion of a trip. If your passport expires before October 3, 2027, you must apply to renew your passport.
