DAY 1 - Departure

4:50am  – Arrive at Dublin Airport, coach pick up. Check into Iveagh Garden Hotel – time to settle in/rest

Morning:Breakfast at Hotel (included in hotel costs)

10:45am – Meet MIC IO staff member Sarah Power in the hotel reception, walk to Dáil Eireann in Kildare Street (approx. 15-20 minute walk)

11:30am  – 12:00pm – Tour Dáil Éireann (Irish Parliament) in 2 groups. The first group enters and Sarah will show the second group around the area, then switch

AfternoonFree to explore Dublin. Some suggestions: Book of Kells at TCD, Dublin Castle, GPO 1916 Irish Rebellion Exhibition, Guinness Store House, Grafton Street, St Stephen’s Green Park

Free time. MIC IO can help with dinner suggestions if necessary.

 

 

 

 

 

 

DAY 3 - Limerick

Saturday May 28th, 2022

Breakfast at Hotel (included in hotel costs)

9:00 amCheck out of the hotel and load luggage onto coaches, depart for EPIC Museum

10:00 -11:30 amVisit EPIC Museum – audio-guided tour (Booking Ref: 02108970)

11:45 am- Depart EPIC on coach to Limerick

En route: Lunch/snacks pit stop on the motorway to Limerick (cost not included in the program)

Afternoon: Check into Courtbrack accommodation, get settled, buy groceries for the week

7:30 pm- Dinner booked at The Locke Bar, 3-course set menu (cost included in the program but does not include drinks)

 

 

 

DAY 4 - Limerick

Sunday May 29th, 2022

OPTIONAL: Mass at St Saviour’s Church Dominican Church (Glentworth Street at 1pm) or Redemptorist (South Circular Road at 8am, 12pm, 7:15pm)

10am -2pm – Visit King John’s Castle (tickets will be provided – costs included in program)

AfternoonLunch at own expense in Limerick City, or bring a packed lunch to Lough Gur

2:00 pmTravel to Lough Gur (heritage site). Departure from city centre (location TBC)

2:30 pm-4:30 pmLough Gur guided tour followed by audio-guided tour of the sites outside on the lakefront (cost included in the program)

4:30 pm- Coach returns to Courtbrack accommodation

DAY 11 - Limerick

9:15am- Coach to Glenstal Abbey for optional mass (10am) followed by tea/coffee and chat with priests/locals or walk the beautiful grounds

12:30pm – Coach will return to Courtbrack accommodation

AfternoonFree time. Suggestions: Hunt Museum, Three Bridges walk. MIC IO can make other suggestions for activities, also look at concerts and events that are on in Limerick City

 

 

 

DAY 12 - Limerick

10:00 am -Ferry to Aran Islands, arrive Inis Mór

10:30am-4:00pm – Tour the island for the day, option to rent bikes or hire minicabs (cost not included in the program fee)

4:00pm – 6:15pmReturn by ferry from Inis Mór to Doolin, free time in village

6:15pmCoach pick up from Doolin Pier and return to Courtbrack accommodation

 

DAY 13 - Limerick

Cancellations

All changes and cancellations must be provided in writing. The following penalties apply with the number of days prior to departure:

Please be advised that the following policy will apply in regard to cancellation penalties: 

  • The $300.00 program deposit is non-refundable. 
  • A penalty of 100% of the total cost of the trip* will be incurred if written cancellation is received 121 days or less before the trip departure.*The total cost of the trip includes the International Education fee and all air, hotel, and tour costs.

Passports and Visas

Most countries require that a passport be valid for six months beyond the completion of a trip. If your passport expires before  December 8, 2022, you must apply to renew your passport. If you are not a US citizen please check with the consulate of Ireland or a visa agency for the latest requirements. You will also need a re-entry permit to return to the USA.
