Individual arrival in Bogota and transfer to the hotel.
Today you will visit the Botanical Garden of Bogota. Afterwards you explore the colonial historical centre “La Candelaria“ and visit the famous Gold Museum with more than 30.000 exhibits of gold and manufacturers of ceramic and textiles.
Visit to the national park of Chingaza. The aims of the park are the protection of the existing ecological system, the conservation of the ritual places of the Muiscas and the development for ecological tourism. One part of the park is secured as wetlands. Return to Bogota in the afternoon.
During the full day excursion to the nature reserve of Mana Dulce you can observe several species of birds.
Excursion to Fusagasuga, 1-hour away from Bogota Visit to a bromelain breeding farm founded by Franz Gruber. The farm owns over 400 different kinds of Hebrides of bromelain. You will join a circuit across the farm with detailed explanation about the cultivation and breeding of the bromelains.
Flight to Pereira, located in the Coffee Triangle. Due to the climate, this region is ideal for coffee cultivation. You will visit a coffee farm to get an insight into the process of coffee production, from planting to roasting!
Full day excursion to explore the nature reserve of Rio Blanco. During a short hike you have the possibility to observe different species of birds.
Flight to Santa Marta, the oldest city of South America, located on the Caribbean coastline of Colombia.
Visit to the National Park of Tayrona, 30 minutes away from Santa Marta. You may join walking-tours, go for a swim or relax on the paradisiacal beach.
