The drive from Paro to Thimphu, the Capital City, is only 35 miles. En route, visit Simtokha Dzong, the National Library, and Tashichho Dzong.
In Thimphu, visit Changangkha Monastery, the goldsmiths’ workshops, Thangka painting school and other dzongs (fortress-monasteries).

The hike to Tiger Top is well worth the effort. Climbing to the top may be strenuous and may not be recommended for everyone.
